You don't care as much as you'd like people to think.

They care alot. Why would they be admins of a game if they didn't like the game at all....

I'll speak for myself but if I didn't care SS would probably be long gone by now.

Other admins can probably say the same thing. We all have our role to play.

^^ Are you one of the game Developers too? Just wondering who runs the show and how many Developers there are.

*snip* out that the admins actually don't really care about the players *snip*

This isn't about the game. This is about the players. I'm sure they care about the game, they have put a lot of effort into it.
But when players can be adversely affected by bugs in the game, and basically get told, tough luck, then that is a very strong indication to me that they don't give a damn about us. We pay to play this, and time=money. When you have to retrace your efforts multiple times you are wasting good money that you shouldn't need to. This does not seem right to me.
I feel that the SS agreement should be ammended to:

Quote:
Star Sonata License Agreement

Cheating will consist of exploitation of bugs to advance ones character, hacking or modifying the client or hacking into the server, intercepting or sending information to or from the server in any way other than standard use of the client, use of macros or any other similar abnormal activity that can cause an increase in the load on the CPU, or unauthorized use of Star Sonata administration or monitoring features. You must report any exploitable bugs to the administration as soon as you find them, and destroy any wealth or items you accidentally get through an exploitable bug. If you are found to be cheating, your account may be subject to deletion without refund, as well as the accounts of anyone whom you help as the result of the cheating.

Abusive language, harassment, advertisement (Spam), or deliberate attempts to circumvent the swear filter (e.g. typing “fu..ck or “sh!t) within the Star Sonata chat or forums is unacceptable. People involved in this activity will be warned or have their accounts deleted depending on the severity, blatancy, or number of violations. There is no expectation of privacy of in-game chat or messaging. Star Sonata reserves the right to monitor all communications that happen within game or on the forums. Though we will try to cut down on abuse of the chat and forums, Star Sonata can not be held responsible for any abusive, harassing, demeaning, offensive, or threatening statements made thereon.

This game, the website, the client, and the server are provided as services “as is. Star Sonata does not warrant that the operation of these services will be interrupted or error free.

There is no guarantee that Star Sonata will continue to provide its services for any length of time. Star Sonata reserves the right to close down its servers with a 30 day notice, refunding all players the balance of any further months that they’ve paid for.

In the event of a material breach of Star Sonata’s obligations to provide access to and use of your account, the system, the game, game content, or user content, your sole and exclusive remedy shall be a refund of any paid access fees attributable to the period of wrongful denial of service, or three months’ access fees, whichever is less.

This agreement can be modified at any time by sending a message at log-in to all users and asking them the re-accept the new agreement. If you do not accept the new agreement, you will be entitled to a refund of any remaining subscription fees.

Although this software has been tested and scanned for viruses. In no way are we (The people who have developed this software) responsible for any errors it may cause or damage it may cause to your computer.

Any losses that may be incurred due to bugs in the software are entirely at your own risk. We will take your money regardless of the time and effort you put in, and if you don't like it, there are plenty other less laggy and buggy MMOs out there. Have fun. (Maybe rephrase it to be a lil less bitter ;p)

I think thwey do care about the playerbase, but I'm sometimes led to question their logic.

they care just that their role isnt to help people get their things back due to mayb lying.

mayb what we say is true but they cant be sure of that.
they really dont know about us personally like we do such as when someoen is on our team
their purpose is to make the game better nto to play it
even tho they got the power to do these things easily they sometimes choose not to which is very unfair to some

and with urgist case. they should refund his stuff b/c alot of people know he isnt lying and the admin should be nice like they did to others (such as me)

I can agree with that. It makes sense not to replace a slave, or equipment that was the players own fault; through stupidity (ie: me trying to cap a slave that had no spare hull space), or lack of information (ie: me losing a fwing because master control bots are classed as secondary skill only items, which was stopped to prevent people exploiting).. But for them to simply not arrive in the new uni, and still get the same answer doesn't make sense. Maybe I'm missing something here. My alts all arrived with slaves in tow. So did many other peoples slaves. *boggles*

Nice quote out of the user agreement. It does nothing to prove your point though. That is standard language out of 99.9% of any software or game user agreement.

If the admins did not care there would not have been a aug reset after the rebalancing for 1 example.

Edit: If the admins did not care about the players thoughts/feelings etc. this forum would not exist.
