Just a little idea I had to spice t21 content up.

In underworld there's a gate it leads to Hades (the place). Upon entering you meet charon who is guarding the gate to Styx. You can either defeat Charon or pay him to transport you safely across the river Styx.

You can pay him by purchasing a danake from the nearby ai base then tossing it. He will then scoop the coin and proceed through the gate, unlocking it for you. This is the more expensive of the two options.

If you choose to fight Charon will call upon the dead to assist him and they will come from the gate to attack you and your party. Charon has a chance to drop t21 FC auras upon death. He also drops two items every time, the key to Styx and the key to Cerberus.

Once in Styx with him he will provide an aura for ai only similar to a radex aura. This weakens the spawn here to make it easier to pass. The spawn drop tweaks which increase resists at the cost of a massive increase to critical hit vulnerability. He will then unlock the second gate and despawn.

Without Charon to assist you the difficulty of the spawn increases dramatically.

Once passed the Styx you enter Cerberus. Cerberus begins unaggro but once he hears hades shout to attack the intruders he begins to attack with his MF weapons. He MFs 3 high damage weapons. He has a relatively low bank but high resists to compensate.

At half health hades will call in the hydra. The hydra stays very close to Cerberus in order to use CC to block shots. When the hydra dies two more smaller hydras spawn and this continues for 5 deaths.

Cerberus has a chance to drop his aug and Cerberus gear bps. See drop list below. He will also drop weapons that are specifically designed for use by berserkers.

Hydra will drop hydra gear and a hydra aug which is t18 and like the Cerberus aug, but is meant for use on slaves.

Upon death hades drops the key to the field of asphodel. You proceed and must defeat the two hades guard drones to pass through the gate to Hades' palace.

Hades has high resists and decent stealth. His pitchfork does a lot of DPH making it very smart to utilize the tweaks from earlier. Hades will disappear at intervals and call one of the furies to assist him.

Furies will have a chance to drop a t21 controlbot for use by FCs as well as a fury aug which is like a slave specialized rage aug.

Upon death hades will drop cloaks, weps, auras, or any bps of each. He will also, being the god of wealth, drop a ton of creds (a bit above average, more like a ton of the scoopable credits).

All of these ai will have very high resistances to damage but smallish banks.

Hades Shield(Medium bank, adds resists)

Cerberus Drops:
Cerberus' Second Heart(Energy, very low bank, med regen, allows to stack no one other energy)
Cerberus' Bark(like a t21 shockwave, med size, high DPS, mining dmg)
Cerberus' Bite(low range, high dmg, physical dmg)
Cerberus' Second Head(shield, Low-med bank, allows to be stacked on one other shield)

Charon Drops:
Auras of all types for FC

Fury Drops:
Furious Controlbot(elec temp, dmg, RoF)

Nah, I'd love for t21 to be defined by 'pretender' type ubers.

I like Bifork. It makes it seem a bit asgardian, which is popular right now. Well, it does to me, anyway.

It also makes me think of Biforce. The midget cousin of Triforce!

Plus, there are two ways you can really go with the pretenders thing; have it be sorta exclusive like right now, or just go balls to the walls and have lots and lots of them. Have it so that many of them are a completely different experience, and even have different ship models, and nobody will mind. In fact, it would be quite awesome.

After all, you have to remember that we have like 12+ t20 ubers, and...less t21 ubers.

Too bad Pluto's not a planet anymore xD

Good suggestions are good suggestions, but too much of one thing makes the game feel lopsided, which won't bode well with the PR.

Instead of Starsonata, it would be:
"PretenderSonata"

No shut up Churchill, love this suggestion, implement!

We have 5 Pretender Ubers already, and people want two more.

The Admins stopped at 5 Serengeti Ubers for a reason, and shot down my +5 UZ Uber suggestion on the same reason I gave you in my post.


THERE ARE ALREADY TOO MANY "Pretenders" and "Greek/Roman Gods".


Make another Underworld-like thing, just not a Hades. The Greeks weren't the only ones with an afterlife. Norse, Babylonian, Meso-America, Egyptian, and Ancient Africa have religions with Afterlives.

Maybe use one of them?

This definitely sounds like a really great idea, I can see myself having a lot of fun with it. Something about the way it seems almost story like draws me into this suggestion.
