Re: Anime(namely Bleach) fans
I watched Bleach until episode 175, then got bored because it's a filler episode about the assassins trying to kill the girl.
But yeah, that's sad. I'll miss that Visard bastard.

One Piece it is indeed Yeah its painfully full of filler arcs, but aside from that I like the story and the action scenes are quite epic. Sad to see it go.

Re: Anime(namely Bleach) fans
Meh, bleach started sucking the instant they put in the Aizen arc. Before then we had character-driven power upgrades and a linear increase in that power, with interesting reveals and characters that actually had dimensions.
Then they introduced Aizen, and everything went downhill. No more character driven plot, no more linear power increase(Ichigo dies, comes back to life, and is suddenly humongously more powerful? What?), and what the villain wanted to do wasn't even made clear, even after the arc was over.
If they'd just cancelled the whole thing right after soul society, I couldn't have been any happier. Heck, if he'd done that he could have still made money; just start with a new character, do a shinigami school arc or something. Dunno. But I'm not really sad.

Jesus 2.0 wrote: Yeah its painfully full of filler arcs Pretty much what tends to happen when a long-running anime starts catching up with the material it is adapted from. The options are to either wait a very long time for further content to be produced in terms of the original material, or intersperse it with constant filler. From a business perspective, it's obvious which will make the most money given the series' popularity.

Re: Anime(namely Bleach) fans
They could have at least put in good fillers. The trouble, I guess, is that power levels have to remain stagnant during the fillers, making any sort of realistic character development impossible.
IMO they should have just done what FMA did; make an entire new series with it's own character development and everything and then if the manga is good enough go back and do a second series later. That way they make even MORE money from it AND the fans get twice the material to watch.
I mean, seriously; the anime writers made cooler scenes in their frequently changing INTROS than there was in a lot of the real manga based anime...

lol, its just the TV show guys. the Manga is still alive and well, if anyone wants to look into it. the maker of the bleach manga says its only like a third done.

Re: Anime(namely Bleach) fans
I liked the Soul Society Arc, sat through most of the Bount Arc and then gave up on that at the third-to-last episode. I don't really care what happened to that story and I'm just going to skip any other filler arcs. I've been watching the Hueco Mundo Arc bit by bit over months now and can't say I'm enjoying it the same as the first arc either, but I'm interested enough to see how it ends. Really, the main thing that got me into the show in the first place (besides the catchy opening sequence) was the interaction of Ichigo and Rukia and I feel that's more lacking in Hueco Mundo. Yep.
