My problem with them is capping them. killing these is easy if you're kiting them at max range with good speed aka hotrod+ to have time to target the missiles or outright outrun them.. I been pretty much classless equipped with fire cannon on just about every mob and before that, an ice sludger (dot).. and i'm not even at 180.. even faster when you can multifire as a zerker.
I been playing around with the different play styles as well.. basically if you can fit at least drone deploy 3, ion cannon / magic attack pretty much can cover most of the ai around w1 until your weapon level dps can catch up.
basically spending 12 skill points can probably last you well into 200 without upgrading any of your weapons.
I suggest you alter your strategy depending on the type of ai you are up against if you're having problems... one of them being wait on top of warp for them to fire the super.. warp out warp back in.. (their missiles instant destruct) you now have a 25 second head start or whatever cooldown sec+ % to kill them before the next salvo goes off.
fire extinguisher does help a little.. if you don't already have it equipped.
if anything.. if you don't want to touch on the missiles super cooldown or nerf the missiles since doing so also nerfs the player side/ etc... you could at least buff the extinguisher so it removes the dot flames faster.
or equip the inferno/+ AI with an item that gives them a -% rad/other damage type resist to offset difficulties. <3
