In my Quantum Mechanics class we were allowed to be off by a factor of 2, hbar, i, pi and e to really stress that we were focusing on the physics, not carrying constants.
Granted all the results worked out basically the same (just had to be scaled by some constant). Dunno how well that would work in a math class since some of those can be key components to solving something.
