Post Bases on 1 planet sharing commods
I know this was suggested in a some what vague manner by another player, but this is very much needed. I think us base builders would agree, that the slaves which transfer commodities from 1 base to another on the same planet, completely engulf the planet with their ship, and make it in some cases almost impossible to select that base in order to dock at it.

I cant stress enough how annoying it is to go into your production galaxy and tab through 30 bases to finally target your production base in order to dock. If there was a system where multiple bases on a single planet were to share commodities, then this would first of all make galaxy's run much smoother, reduce lag in the server, and provide us with a better visual accessibility to target our bases manually. In SS1 we didn't really have this problem because the targeting code allowed you to target something under a massive ship, but alas that is not the case with the new client.

So the qeustion is, Do you want a change to the targetting systems, or a change on how bases work.

And what happens when you kill 1 one of the many bases on the same planet?

I think my suggestion clearly states whatever your asking. And also its pretty self explanatory, that the "item" that will be providing this system for planetary bases will pretty much be linked to a rate of transport from the Extraction base to the production base. And the more of these "items" you equip, the faster the rate of transfer would be.

Alternative way would add unnecessarily complexity to the game without much need. It is quite rare you want to transfer goods between bases on the same planet.

I don't see logic behind this. A planet is pretty big and you need trains/aeroplanes/cars to transfer goods from one place to another. In SS we use spaceships for that.

Easy solution: Paxx next time you build a proddy, make it the first or last base you build in the gal.

There is actually an entire topic about this: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=51133

That is a poor hacky solution to a problem. The admins need to fix it.

And some devmins said that they would be fixing the targeting priority, but they just haven't done it yet.
