Well, i'm posting this in response to a post bageese made about droners. It pretty much stated that the server is unstable, so dont use drones, if you lose them you will not be refunded for the drones. When is the server not unstable on this game, and how are we supposed to know when it is or isnt.
To be honest, as a droner, for too long i have felt like the unwanted step child. With the amount of money we have to put in for drones there should be a way to get them back and repair even after they are destroyed. No other class on this game has to risk more in terms of cost as the droner. Everyone else can just repair gear and boom, they're back in the game.
For droners, if i were to lose a complete set of drones i use for olympus, that's around 20b down the drain to replace, and dont even get me started on how hard it is to even find or build them. Fleet commanders have this option with stasis generators for their slaves, so why are we left out of this loop.
To be honest i think we need an administrator that is a droner. Then maybe we would get the same rights as every other character on this game.
Some may say the droner is already over powered and this is a way to balance it. No it is not. Being a droner on this character his entire life, i have had my butt handed to me several times, lost drones, i do not see in any way that being a droner is an overpowered class. Something needs to be done about this, but it keeps falling on deaf ears. I've had enough.

that's just one time, who knows how many billions i've spent. But you dont lose the bar skills and have to rebuy/build them again, same as ur gear.

The easiest fix would probably to make drones like slaves and go into stasis when killed.

However I seem to remember Jeff saying somewhere that drones should be treated like commodities and hence be readily available and cheap. Currently drones are neither and it would require a lot of work to make them so.

I dont care which option is taken so long as drones are fixed.

I too have this problem and it needs to be fixed. It takes weeks and even months to find someone to build your drones. It isn't fair for droners to have such expensive weapons.

you could even make drone durability and when it dies it goes into stasis and u have to scoop it with the durability reduced to 0% so the droner has to repair

No one is forcing you to use drones that you can't afford to replace. Now if it is not possible to do sufficient content with BFDs, Titans, and other drones that are not so difficult to come by, then that's a legitimate complaint.

If you can't build your own then you are left to the whims of the market. The blueprints aren't exactly rare anymore.

that's still towards my point though. You get a weapon, you dont have to buy it again, i get a drone, it gets destroyed, i have to buy it again. I as well have no problem affording the drones, but its not right how much we have to go through in comparison to other classes.

and as far as building, have u tried getting the armadas recently. Not exactly a quick find. I do have the capability to build, its the armada drones that is the hiccup.

I will have to agree on this point... In my mind this is akin to the previous overloader failure mechanism, and there is a reason why it was changed (or a chance that your weapon is destroyed on death, how is that fair? People would be pissed even if there was a .5% chance their 3-shots would dissappear on death or server crash)

Well I invite you to try doing content around level 2k using Titans or BFDs

Shouldn't a level 2k be able to find a team that has the drone BPs installed?
