A warning/suggestion in spite of it
Whats going to happen when everyone is dancing around in prawns and HMs? What will challenge us? What stands in our way? So far, nothing. I have a feeling the game will lose its challenging touch and alot will quit of bordom.
What ever happened to "protecting sol from getting overrided by aliens" Soon™
Will the assistance of prawns and such be the only way to defend sol?
Or should there be an oly-like UZ created.
Soon™Soon™Soon™Soon™Soon™Soon™Soon™

No! I want more AIs, more zones, more ubers, more...FUN!
Mausoleum was meant to be a Sniper UZ, look how that turned out, guards with almost-infinite radar. One of them is impossible to do.
Infernal Darkness was meant to be for stealthy characters, look where that went...

Re: A warning/suggestion in spite of it
SS has never HAD a 'challenging touch'. Unless you're talking about low levels, heck yeah they're hard.
Honestly, people would probably complain if they were forced to do content that wasn't as easy as it currently is. Makes me wish we had more BAM type AI.

Re: A warning/suggestion in spite of it
Basta you obviously don't know star sonata. First of all the prawn is an extreamly rare ship that takes a ridiculous amount of hard work to put together. Yes the build is relatively simple, but the rarity of prawn pieces makes it so that only the elite can build it. Also it's not like you get 1 prawn bp every time you kill Kidd. The ship bp is fairly rare, or mabyee I have very bad luck. Also it's not like this hasn't happend before; I remember when having a rhino on a DM was crazy rare and some what over powered.
Keep in mind that there is new content coming out every year and currently uz ships are the standard. T21 ships are the elite.
And btw Olympus = UZ for oly ships smart one.

Infernal Darkness was meant to be for stealthy characters, look where that went... Voomy has made it clear quite a few times now that Mausoleum was never meant to be soloed, which is why some changes were made. Infernal Darkness is mainly for stealth classes. I do two of them every lockout with my sniper. One of the bosses is for recon, and one is for group play.

Re: A warning/suggestion in spite of it
SS is a MMO, which gets updates over time..... UZ stuff became standard, what did they do? Release Olympus.
Also, Combustion's signature isn't a photoshop, its called Test server. I have 5000 trill on it lol.

Re: A warning/suggestion in spite of it
I don't have a Prawn but I've already exhausted practically all outlets in this game, heck I did that before I even got a HM. Right now there's not enough stuff to keep me entertained, you kind of get tired after killing the same uber for n'th time, even the new ubers are kind of just generic clones of the old ones with a fancy new feature - just kill them once and it's not fun anymore.

Re: A warning/suggestion in spite of it
I have said before, SS needs some sort of pvp system where you can go, not have base/war aggro, and have it based on various different tactics, strengths, and weaknesses in a strategic environment.
In other words, SS needs some sort of Action RTS game to be played with ships rather than "champions".
Nothing is more challenging than a group of enemy PLAYERS in a fair fight of X vs X numbers.

Re: A warning/suggestion in spite of it
I played a lot of Dark Ages of Camelot and Warhammer Online. I can tell you from that experience that a structured system with specific goals you have to accomplish and tiered progression to advance those goals, with rewards scaling to the level of difficulty of each level of progression isn't more limiting, it's actually a lot more challenging and interesting than completely open "sandbox" encounters.
In those games, you have specific objectives you have to meet to unlock the next field of battle, and as you push further into enemy territory your rewards get greater, but so does the level of difficulty to achieve those rewards and push the battle to the next zone. On most servers for those games, pvp is restricted to certain areas where leveling and doing bosses is "safe", other areas are pvp heavy, and yet others are deep into enemy territory where pvp is possible, but the defender has many advantages that have to be overcome to give a smaller faction/team a fighting chance.
