Post Make capships builtin engines unequipable
Make it so you can unequip (but not transfer) the captial engine and w.e. engines are on RP ships and PBF. It sucks and is unfair that we can't do mother and other non engine gals because the ships we own comes with a builtin engine.

IMO, the code just needs to be reworked. Just give an aura on a planet or boss in these zones that gives -100% turning and thrust for 100k distance or something. It's a much easier solution than locking galaxies from disallowing you to enter with an engine equipped.

That is a very bad solution as you can work your way around that easily.

Just nullify agility tweak usage as well. That's the only way I think you could get around it.

Also doesn't -100% anything always result in /0 errors?

I think that's the downfall of that form of capital ship - If you want to do Mother and other engineless galaxies in a capital ship you can use a Zeus Throne.... (More higher teir non-engined capitalships will need to be added, though).

When the PBF and Red Photon ships first came out everyone was complaining they were two heavy and needed inbuilt engines. Those ships originally were able to do those ubers and that content, but the playerbase didn't want it.

If you want to do those ubers, don't use those ships.

PBF ain't got an engine. Or at least I don't see it on my PBF .. was an engine added in one of the patches?

But seriously, there needs to be an option to either unequip the engine, or make it so inbuilt engine ships can still enter a non-engine gal. Its descriminations! And Tim, its not an easy thing to say "Don't use those ships" when excepting the ZT, every capship has an inbuilt engine.

Ugg. Why exactly can't the devmins program these gals to reduce thrust and turning to zero? Shouldn't even have to unequip anything.

They did. Then we used Ace in the Pill tweaks to counter the 0 thrust/0 turning that we had. Ironic, huh? 0 thrust(Lion Thruster) + 100% = 5000 thrust.
