An enemy with machinegun high speed low tracking pulses.
A brand of enemy that shoots pulses with very little tracking, high speed! In addition to this, they have fairly poor tracking, and a very low crit chance. The idea is an enemy that SD's have to actively dodge; the key is that this enemy has no lasers of any kind. Essentially, the SD wants to fly as fast as they can, to dodge the bullets, even at close range!
Why do I think this would be a good idea? Because at the moment, pretty much every enemy in the game near the end has some sort of laser weapon. This really nullifies the purpose of SD's, since obviously lasers cant be dodged! So this type of enemy(Sorta like a condor or vulture, actually, except slower!) would allow SD's to really really shine!
Of course, they wouldn't be impossible for other classes either; the reason they shoot so quickly is so each individual shot could do less damage. Another plus to this is it would make lagrange skills more useful versus them!

By the way, the tactic of flying as fast as you can is not really optimal against such an AI. At least it's certainly not the dominant strategy against Hawks and Vultures.

What I really want is something that reminds you of a bullet-hell game. You're dodging all over the place to avoid the bullets while trying your best to do your own damage. Maybe a boss that goes 695 speed and lays out patterns of bullets behind it? That could be cool

Bullet hell games have a 2000 bullet minimum on the screen at all times.

Just to chip in, because I like this idea.
My SD is level 720 (ish), and does like 310 or 320 speed. I find the new EF Capital ship AIs and AIs with missiles (specifically kinetics) really, so much more fun to kill than anything else. Not only because I have to dodge the AI, but I got 5 or 10 missiles chasing me down trying to kill me.
