Post Hotkey Customizations
I would like to be able to put customized lists of stuff into one hotkey.

For example: I'd like to be able to drag my zebra panel to hotkey 1, then drag my solar intakes to hotkey 1, and then the rest of my panels. When I press 1, all my solar panels will equip or unequip. This would make it so much easier to switch from a light galaxy to a dark galaxy.

I could also see this being used to set up custom tweak sequences.

Actually Radia, what you've proposed is almost exactly the opposite of what I proposed. I do not want to toggle between my solar panels, I want to equip/ unequip them all at the same time. Same with tweaks...I don't want to toggle through them I want to make them all go off.

Perhaps I'm just not explaining it very well. Hotkeys should be programmable. They should be able to do any number of equip\unequip actions in a sequence to an unlimited number of items.

Well, just dragging several things to the hotkey might not work that well, since in theory, dragging another item to the hotkey is how you change what's assigned to it. Maybe you could multiselect some stuff then drag them there, but we're left with the problem of how to represent that in the UI.

My original idea was add additional slash commands, such as /Equip Solar Panel, and then allow you to assign several slash commands to a hotkey like: /Assign 1 /Unequip Dark Solar Panel /Equip Solar Panel /Equip Solar Intake. I still want to do this at some point, but I'm not sure exactly how easy or how hard it would be.

You could have some sort of pop-up interface. Players would just drag-drop from their inventory into the new menu.

Pardon the editing.

Columns would be sets of items equipped simultaneously. Pressing the hotkey will cycle through each column in turn, unequipping everything and equipping the next column. *for tweak and items that charge, they will each be used once, instead of un\equipping*

You could possibly let players choose the icon that appears on the hotkey slot. Maybe have an indicator for current column and total columns, like 1/3 or 4/4 ect.
