2012 will be the year of the technological singularity.

How fast can these be put to general use? Are there side effects? Are they readily available? You, sir, are a master of buzz word usage. Good job.

Good job. the details are in the articles i post not for you to read my posts, but to read the links i post. they explain far better than i ever could. cej1120con wrote: And everything will be pretty much the same in 2013. current trends will continue, yes but the longer those trends continue, the more likely it becomes that someone will use all the avaliable scientific knowledge to make themselves a player in geopolitics i am talking about the rise of the "mad scientists" as the power players in geopolitics it is almost like the TV show heroes. a bunch of random people all over the world gain godlike powers. except in this situation, the "godlike powers" can be shared with others because it will be a result of technology. scientific understanding will become the primary "virus of the mind" by being truly symbiotic with its hosts, raising them above those who lack scientific understanding, and creating a strong preference among hosts towards other hosts of "scientific understanding" in other words, when knowledge is everything, you either learn, or you die. stupidity and ignorance become lethal afflictions. (though it could be argued that they already are to a lesser extent)

Meh, someone is going to make a broken set-up and ruin it for the rest.

Buy magic spells from the in-game store. And a Sword.
Become a Dragon Rider. Take over the world.

but which came first. the post-singularity world? or SS? considering one of them isnt here yet, things cannot be what they seem.

Fine, then there will be a roll back and I'll suddenly find myself killing normal pedestrians for their coins again rather than executing crime bosses for the bounties, like I was doing.
