Just curious for stats and rough estimate of new players

here are some quick stats for you.

- 2008-2009 average accounts per day 3, out of those 1 or less played at least once another day.
- 2009-2010 average accounts per day 4, out of those, 1 or less played at least once another day
- 2010-2011 average accounts per day 6, out of those, 2 or less played at least once another day
- 2011-2012
- from jan to september average accounts per day 6, out of those, 2 or less played at least once another day
- from october to december average accounts per day 24, out of those, 18 or less played at least once another day
- 2012 to now average accounts per day 35 (excluding jan30-31 which had 1500 new accounts ish). out of those 35, 20 played at least once another day.



So yea, all in all, the aflux of new accounts is about 5 times higher than it ever was on c1. Offcourse, many of those arent p2p, and quite a bunch probably wont ever go p2p.
For p2p statistic we still have to wait a few months for all those new players to reach a point where p2p is actually important.

Hey, it's just nice to see the influx of people in general. I've been busy and offline lately, so I've not been able to fly about the newbies in my f2p character to see what's up.

Though... I think those stats just might be wrong because of account and character pruning.

They have to be right, or as close to right as possible!

If they're not, then Bonecrusher was telling the truth. And we can't have that happen!

while its true, pruning would affect those data. only the account pruning not the persona pruning (since the logged once in another day also use the account and not persona). The accounts are pruned if they have no character and logged hadnt logged for a year. never posted and character are lower than lvl 20.

We havent pruned since last reset, so that would mean that the stats for 2010-11 to now are valid. But indeed for the years before the stats might not be as accurate as they could be.
