build your own universe
After reading an article about the kepler program finding a dual sun system with a planet and then looking for a video of a circumbinary orbit, i was amazed to find this program. Universe Sandbox has a free demo that lets you play different demo scenarios, and includes an hour of the premium version for free. In the time i've spent playing with it in the premium version preview i've added rings to earth's moon and watched earth pull them to itself, exploded Endor while the death star orbited, and looked at all the objects in the solar system at once. It's amazing. Apparently the full version is like 20 bucks or 10 bucks on Steam. So pretty much as soon as the demo runs out imma figure out how to buy stuff on steam xD

Re: build your own universe
I'ma try this out it sounds AWESOME
Most solar systems actually have more than one sun and it's been speculated that our solar system at one time had 2 suns, explaining why our planet size in relation to how far away they are is all wrong lol

I bought it on steam when it was on sale last month, the "explode" button is a personal favorite of mine

Re: build your own universe
Quite enjoy this .. but my planets keep flinging off on weird orbits because I fail at physics and slingshotting them seems to be the new 'in' thing to do P:
