Post Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows
Was anyone else dissapointed by the drawn-out and numerous violence scenes as opposed to the thick story line and sheer brilliance of Sherlock?

Proof, that the first the second one is more predictable... I figured it out well before the end.

Was it good? I'm going to see it sometime this week.

It was enjoyable, no doubt. But far to many fight scenes, we start to see a glimpse of a more emotional side to Holmes, especially nearing the end, however this ofcourse is dispelled by his own sadistic narcisism..... More violence, less plot. Meh.

That indeed is lacking from the movie, however that is a quirk of the TV series, not the original books.

It's Hollywood after all.. It shouldn't be suprise that it has numerous violence scenes as opposed to the thick story line and sheer brilliance of Sherlock.

I was dissapointed by the first film. I went to see the second one and I didn't expect much. But it was much better than the first one and I walked away from the cinema smiling. I think A Game of Shadows had more sheer brilliance than the first one. It was definately worth paying the cimema ticket for me.
