What does it say about me that I cared more about the relationships than any other part of the film? Like, there was mystery and death and rape and whatnot, but other than the scene where Lisbet pwns the crap out of the fat dude, the only thing I really cared about was the romance.

I just read the book because the trailer looked interesting. I thought the relationships were one of the most interesting part of it. Very non-conformist in a realistic way.

Was the movie good?

It's based on a Swedish trilogy of books (and movies), from what I've heard the Swedish version is better but Im still going to see the English version.

I hope they will make all three movies because they where all pretty good and it sucks if you dont get to see how it ends.

Aside from that there's a lot of rape in Sweden/Scandinavia. So that would be the clear indication for the rape scene. As for the rest of the relationships, clearly circumstantial and pointless.

I don't really like how they are showing this English version. I watched all the Swedish ones and they are good - I don't mind watching a subtitled movie when it's done that well.

That was the worst piece of bullshit I've ever heard, as if you know anything about Sweden or Scandinavia. No more rape here then in any other country of a similar size.

I dunno, i guess i just watch a lot of romance so I had an eye out for it. The movie wasn't the best I've ever seen, but it was certainly decent.

Nah, the relationship[s] were a key element in what kept me reading through the trilogy, besides the exquisite writing style and action.
I have yet to see the movie, I may try view it on sky movies if anyone knows if its on...Watching inception at the moment, and I don't feel anything merits being seen over that.
