I have offered to fix and update the SS chat client (not webchat) several times. I have yet to get an actual response from Jeff.

There just is not enough interest in it for me to reverse engineer everything, for a program I won't be able to legally or easily distribute. If I could get the source and approval to work on it, then that wouldn't be such a futile effort.

I honestly don't think there is a high priority for getting the chat client or webchat working. I think the admins/developers rather fix the game so it stops hemorrhaging cash and actually starts turning a profit.
