It's hardly complicated, you get the same damage, its just not uniform FIVE PERCENT always. It can be higher (11%) or lower (3%).

to be honest id like to still hav eunifromed 5% each but instandly , but instead drop in the suggestion of isntand penelty.

95% will reduce stats to 95% straight away and yes it would be anoying.

And i wanne shortly explain why, atm all complain about snipers beeing stealthy and snyperanalysis pure dps class, the only one easly soloing wattage pure solo for example, and why? cause all go pure dps setups, who cares if you die on ur way to wattage.. boring.

I think the only fair penelty to such stupid anti gameplay/pure ueber setups would be the instand penelty system.

Why shouldnt zerker be rewarded for their tanky, non diing game play. and seriosly. if u do uebers or just DGs, make sure u can handly them, yes it can happen once a while that u still die, but lets face it at the moment we all all jsut build setups to dps or grind.. meh ..meh..

That's a fair point, KC, but I don't think your example is very apt. Any decent sniper will do James Watt without dying in the DG leading up to him, and at least one other class can also solo Watt easily. :P

I do find it odd that Snipers can get away with using Phantomstream as a combat shield.

This is a horrible idea! I can't have my dps reduced by 5% upon dying, neither sheild/ energy/ capacitors, anything!

Snipers arnt just a low vis class you know? My sniper tanks, and so do all oly setups! What happends when you die in oly because a shm wasnt on you when pose does a tsunami? You become even more vulnerable every time you die? fuck that.

Keep it the way it is, and make CG 25 take away 50% of your equipments damage, so you would get a uniform 2.5% damage to all your equipment upon death, god damn.

make it simple!

that example wiht a phantom stream is exactly what should be avoided.. it shows how.. low a death is valued, .. for the same reason there are many pure dps setups out there wich is seriosly bullshit game mechanic wise.. if you that good to get away with it.. cool, but then also life with 5% loss when u die! (the fact of adjusting towards a certain boss should ensure u can ake him at 85% easly too anyways)

yeah ofc what i suggest is tough but are u aware that atm u can die 10 times.. without having any affect on you?..

..and the costs of diing are decreasing too, what most dont realize if you have a 200bil setup u pay 100mil for a death.. for the first death!.. if you die 10 times u pay 416 mil to fully heal up..

and hack at this point ive to admit that my most expensive setup is 46bil (cause im poore and only use crap).. atm diing for me is a enforced brake to take time make me a tee.

- my suggestion would fit the decreasing cost that are in in quite a kinky way,
- death would finally become something worthwhile to avoid
- and this would be a small punchy in the face of those stupid pure dps setups or other grinder setup that focus on sertain bosses or ai types..
- and ofc it would therefore reward those players that play a overall balanced ship and really play their class rather then focusing on grinder setups


the alternativ is simply is that the cost will sooner or later increase.. if u prefer to have death = one time money cost rather then have any game effect.. then plz fote to just deduct fixed amount on credits per death flat according to ship value, and remove the repair system at all. Cause 10 death no effect.. seriosly not evena ll 4 oly ubers cause u to die 10 times without docking inbeteen in a ai base ROFL

Well actually, I was hoping that you could die 20 times before going to an AI base with CG 25.

and with CG25 you only had to pay 50m per death, based on your equipment value.

I really don't understand where your logic is coming from KC. These "Grinding" setups are balanced. And there are a used for playing the game.

are you saying no one should PvAI anymore, or do ubers? -.-

nono ofc not, but atm i get quite frequently the impression
that they build ina very specialized manner, cause noone already cares about diiing, since lets fact it.. its only credits, and having a durability system is a ncie idea.. but only after 10 deaths? man that wont have every any effect. lets fact that too.

its a simple fact perople build certan ships for certian tasks,, and to make them more pwn pnw aspects like surviving stand back.. fuck sake my sniper myself uses a fast regen travel ship so tha ti just stay 20 sec in stasis after diing.. now evne more then before!!

and noone can tell me im the only one who ever thought about that
