there have been a huge lot of performance and stability improvement. so once its released, try it at low graphic to begin (so that a minimum of video cards features are used). If you still do get a blue screen at that time. catch me on irc and we can try to fix it. (make sure you note the blue screen error code too).

Tried updating your graphics drivers?
Also, directx and .net framework 4 (i think) if you're on windows 7. 3.5 for xp and vista iirc.

.net framework shouldnt be needed ,although it does install some other dll that could be corrupted/missing.

As far as theory goes, there is the dx runtimes which are installed automaticly by the patchbot. and thats that. the exe is compiled staticaly so it include all other dll's it may need.

Although it cant hurt to install the vc2010 runtimes.

if your running xp I found a fix that now lets me play the game try this
