I am locked out of Emphatic Mother because I happen to of been testing ways to solo her when a Pants group came in to kill her. The lockout kicked in when they killed her while I was in my own team space. I know there is code to add lockouts to people not in the same Galaxy so you can't warp out before the last hit and warp back in to scoop loot and redo the uber when it respawns ... but when I left Mother hadn't lost 5% shields yet and when it kicked in I was at least 10 warps away. The same thing happened when I happen to of warped into someone killing Sputty and I immediately warped back out. I went on to do something else and got the lockout message while being several warps away. Can the code be tweaked to take into consideration damage done, shield %, or distance from Galaxy?


Edit: I am not asking for Emphatic Mother, or anything else, to be instanced. I disagree with the use of instancing in general.

It's not the instance. It's something else.
Failed in BFH(went afk), kicked out. While waiting for my ship to regen in the galaxies outside his DG, I was locked out.

BFH isn't instanced because I came across a SD in there before and after jumping out, guess what, I had another lockout.

Pay attention very carefully. I know it is not the instance. Because it is not instanced. I stated that the answer I was looking for was to do something to the ubers that did not involve instancing.

I think they put it inside cos bf SS was codded that if you do not shoot AI you do not get a lockout so loads of elec DMs did not get a lockout . If that is true then the solution sucks ...

Not a bug, it's how the system currently works. If you have agro against Mother when she is killed you will get locked out.

It's not a perfect system but it works as intended.
