Couldn't they just use multiple glow layers? Don't know if there is code for that, but isn't that how they add the lights to some ships? Could just be an invisible anchor on an invisible gate that slowly gets bigger glows. Maybe, I don't know how this stuff is coded.

yea that is one of the best iv seen from him. if they did that and all the time the despawn is building up the team fighting has the chance to get it below that % that will keep it from despawning.. that would rox. XD
