you connect wirelessly on both your desktop and laptop?

Is the desktop considerably older than the laptop?

i connect to my router via cord from my desktop, and wirelessly from my laptop. My router/modem is a Zoom model, dunno which, with 4 ports... i really dont now who my provider is, but we get our phone service from it, too.
