Wars & PvP
Wars
Next patch there will be some new war functionality.
Declaring and maintaining war will cost your team credits based on the size of your team (total number of characters). War Mongering will no longer be required to declare war, but the level of war mongering of your director will directly influence (reduce) these costs. It will not cost anything to wage war on a team making an emperor run.
If your team fund runs out of credits to support the war effort, the war will end automatically.
You will also be able to declare war on an individual player as opposed to a team, and by proxy that war will affect whatever team they are on at the time. War can be declared or ended by the director or councilors of your team in one of several ways:
You can use the X target options to declare or end a war. By default this command will declare war on their team, though if they are teamless it will declare war on that player instead
Use the new /war or /endwar commands.
For example:
/war pantalones
/endwar JeffL
If JeffL makes a F2P team by the same name as his character to avoid someone declaring war on them, you can use
/war player JeffL
Or if someone makes a character pantalones you can use
/war team pantalones
These commands will ensure that you are declaring war on the right team or player.
PvP
Glory will be your new PvP rank, and the old skill glory will be largely useless. You can see how much glory someone else has on the HUD, unfortunately there is currently no way to tell how much glory you have (short of dying and targeting your own ship). You will gain 1 glory every 50 levels, and killing someone with more glory than you will also steal some of their glory.
You will get Infamy as well for killing players with less glory than you, if you are too Infamous it will prevent you from aggressively killing players with less glory than you. Dying to a player will reduce your infamy.
As an additional reward for killing a player in PvP, if their GG is used up it will pop out of their ship instead, allowing the victor to reap the spoils of war.
Please note that PvP winners are determined by how much damage you do, not who gets the killing blow. So for example, if you are dying to an AI your buddy can't save your gear glue by putting in the killing blow - he has to have actually done more damage to you than the AI did.

Player1 has too much infamy to attack Player3, Player2 "helps" by killing him to reduce it. Exploitable?

Exploitable if you also want to lose your glory and/or he gets infamy in return.

Cool so ppl that dont want to be a pvp will be kinda protected since he will have low glory.
What will happen if a base kills a player instead of pvp?

No...t yet. I think at some point we plan to have special items that can only be used if you have sufficient PvP rankings, but we currently have a massive backlog of content that we want to add as well.
Of course it will affect your team score, thus affecting your ability to run for emperor if your team is full of people who don't like to PvP.

So Player 2 will just be a non fighting alt of player 1 albeit on another account.. but what if player 2 is a f2p alt which kills player 1 while he has some crappy tech 1 shield equipped.
That will lower Player 1 infamy so he can carry on pwning the low lvls.
Is this exploiting your system ?
