Post Beams failing to hit their target
Whenever the target of a beam weapon is raised on the Z-axis (going over a sun/planet) beam weapons consistently fail to hit them. Not 100% if its just ethereal beams, just trans, or all beam weapons but...

Last time I talked to someone about it, then the major issue with the Z-axis (The dark side of C2!) is causing the possibility of beam weapons missing the drone, when a weapon like a Mad Thorax can hit it from the same range.

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be able to hit something sitting directly on top of a sun with a projectile weapon. Isn't that the whole idea behind the Z-axis?

Post Re: Beams failing to hit their target
After thinking on it a little more, I wonder if its related to the issue where beams have to hit one of the edges of the target in order to count. (IE firing from sitting inside a dread doesn't work UNLESS you have the range to hit the outer edge from where you are, on a path that goes thru the center)
