Yeah there really isn't any mathematical evidence that is required for you guys to notice a problem. And also it is not graphical, it's an in game problem that often leaves you as a sitting duck in some cases. The charging number next to your shield bank that reads (+2356) often drops to (+0) for no reason what so ever, even when my energy banks full, often can be related to items in your inventory being added, taken away, and things that naw at your shields maybe like basil bacteria. It also happens when you pop a shield tweak, and when your firing your weapon. It is reproducible, and does effect your over all sustainability.

What kind of mathematical evidence are you looking for? Because in my opinion your shield bank should NEVER ever stop charging, ever.

Wait... aren't you the one with a private server? Even if not, don't you have an admin panel for content testing purposes? What I'm trying to say is, why don't you prove it? Players who've experienced the problem can give you very specific scenarios to test, but it's difficult to come to a firm conclusion from our standpoint.

its impossible to prove by us, because we cant compare the charging value in our clients with the true server value

Lets not turn this into a flame war, I want this problem to be solved. Proof was asked for and I intend to supply it.

If your shield regeneration/second exceeds the maximum possible damage/second of your opponent, then mathematically it is impossible for that enemy to reduce your shields to 0 as long as you have a reasonable shield reserve buffer to absorb spikes.

Edit- After some more testing I've come to several conclusions:

1. The bug may not have much or anything to do with inventory changes, but rather to changes in energy.

2. The bug occurs reliably when I have a shield charger that uses a significant amount of energy.

My previous thinking that changes in inventory were the cause was probably a side effect of the pest control, scoop, and tweaks taking small amounts of energy when activated.

THE PROOF:
My ship has combined shield regeneration of 423/sec. The shield (oversized misdirection) provides 285/sec, the charger 137/sec (after aug, class, etc. modifiers).
If I equip the charger and engage 2 basils my shield regen is 137/sec and remains that way until I die.
If I do no equip the charger and engage the same 2 basils my shield regen is 285/sec and I don't die.
A demonstration of this can be arranged, if necessary for proof.

Healing per second has to do with you healing someone else.

Same as damage per second has to do with killing someone/thing else.

Best to keep words correct to not confuzzle Jeff Bobbo.

This is without poping any teaks, just sitting there being shot by zebras, clearly shield regen isnt supposed to go to +0 regen per second without ANY reason. Stays like this periodically switching from +0 to +2367 back and forth, more +0 than actually charging.

i have noticed that with fires Any -elec regen makes charger cut out, usually it cuts out when you reach 0 bank perhaps fires messing up elec regen somehow?
