Post Leaving team causes abandonment of a base.
Hey, this is a major bug. I left my team a couple of hours ago (while all my bases were still team owned) There was one galaxy that had several bases of mine, and 1 base of another person. When I left the team apparently all my bases have been abandoned and I can't reclaim them as the galaxy is still owned because of the other persons base.
However my base in Free Market is still in my possesion and hasn't been affected.
Please return my bases to me asap.
Thanks.

Ask EF to unown the gal before you leave EF.

Left EF cause no one was ever online and therefore there was no one to ask, but it still shouldn't abandon my bases.

Personally, I'd rather have the bases of the person who left and any bases that are trying to keep the gal owned start shooting each other. If all EF(or whatever team it is)'s bases die, gal goes unowned. If your bases all die, gal stays owned.

The idea that bases "cut off" from their HQ go abandoned is ridiculous. the bases should either just go unteamed. How does it make any sense that they would go abandoned?

the admins have never addressed this awful mechanic, its not a bug though its intended.

p.s. you should always pack your bases when you leave a team

Actually since I've been on EF a little, earlier on in the uni there ARE people on at certain times .. and Jey is usually online.

I never once saw you online however.

Also 'booting' someone from the team UNOWNS all their bases. If intended this is absolutely fucking ridiculous.

Completely unacceptable base mechanic.

Meh experienced that thing when I moved from PC to DM before uni reset.
I almost shitted myself when my bases with ada gear and extractors went to abandon state xD

The problem is that you cannot have two teams with bases in a galaxy where one of them owns the galaxy.

This is actually the better solution. At least you can contact the owning team and ask to unown gal for you to move your stuff.

The...other solution is that the owning team's bases start shooting the person who left's bases and all hell breaks loose. Most likely the owning team will get base loot, since, you are in Their galaxy, right?
