Re: Question: What would you pay massive amounts of credits for?
Upon discussing cluster galaxies, I got an idea. It is probably going to take some time to explain it, but if you like cluster galaxies, then stick with me until the end of this post!
The Supermassive Graviton Black Hole
This is an item that is built, and comes in different strengths. It takes a different variety of commodities, mainly Dark Matter and a very large amount of credits (This part can be tweaked).
When finished, you can use it, and a large black hole will appear in your galaxy. It will basically stay there for the entire universe to keep things in place, and what it does, is that it has the graviton strength to pull suns, planets and moons closer to centre of the galaxy.
So if you are tired of having to see 80% of your galaxies being 15 000 out in galaxy, you can build this massive thing, and use the graviton power to reduce that distance to say for example 5000 distance (This part can be tweaked of course!).
It would be nice to make it work for as close as 2500 distance, and over time the graphic of the supermassive graviton black hole should be faded.
Personally this is something I would pay massive amounts of credits for because I totally love compact cluster galaxies that can be fine tuned for commodity extracting without having to see your slaves travelling far distances between each planet.

Whats not to like. 4x the aug? if we are talking about a regular kit that is 16 augslots lol.. and a Ada kit HQ cost 100b. and its not even that good. for something like that you should be paying 150b+ for something like that...

The only thing I can think of and is probably similar to other suggestions in here is an item that will ap you instantly to any part of the map. Now to keep it from being broken you can assign it a cool down period of 15min or more. Think of it as a pwi+.

Re: Question: What would you pay massive amounts of credits for?
One last idea I have.
AI base purchaseable freighters or storage ships, T21, and T21 augs made specifically for these ships. Or perhaps just the blueprints for such ships, with a high credits build cost.
So basically an improved singularity sphere and an improved version of the dark freighter/emp behe, but tech 21, and appropriate tech 21 augs for both increasing hull, decreasing weight. Perhaps 0 weapon slots on both types of ships and a -100% damage, -100% firing, -100% crit mod on the augs to prevent them from having any kind of combat ship potential.

Nothing. I don't have any credits to spend (<10b, like, always). Just remember that Jeff.

Takes 10000 Prom, 10000 E-nukes, 500000 Cyanure, 100 Dark Matter, 100 Energon, 100 Plasma Crystals, 500 Quant, 500 Vis to charge DS battery.
Costs: BP obtainable in Lyceum via missions (50 Stabilized Plasma Fusion Cores, 50 Honorary Diplomas, 20 Platinum Bars, credits 1 tril) It should be a sticky factory then so it can properly charge the player per use. I'm still a bit worried that we'll see some team amass a whole fleet of these and just blow up an entire galaxy of planets. Wouldn't it work better as an attached kit so that base-laying rules apply? Maybe, but i like idea of ship, slow but powerful.

Re: Question: What would you pay massive amounts of credits for?
Set up a custom gal with several AI bases in it. Each base gives an entire team a certain advantage: speed increase, hull increase, damage increase, worker speed, colony suitability, a single 10 use BP etc. Basically anything you can think of. The bases stay open for the first two weeks of a uni, and any member of a team can dock and put credits into the base for the skill they want. At the end of the two weeks the team with the highest bid gets the reward for the rest of the uni, and everyone else gets their credits back.
The following uni the minimum opening bid for each reward starts out at the same level as the winner from the previous uni. After one week it starts decreasing gradually unless someone matches it. If someone matches it, the bidding goes on as usual until the end of the second week. If nobody makes the minimum bid by the end of the second week, the base is closed and nobody gets the reward.
This could pull tons of creds out of the system when everyone is rich, and if everyone goes broke the cost will decrease over the course of a few unis if nobody is making the minimum bid. It's a self-correcting system. Also, if you get something like a 5% speed increase for a trillion credits this uni, you will still lose the speed increase next uni, so the "credit sink" can keep draining excess credits forever without becoming super broken like high levels of imperial skills could do.
