So far I have made 16 new items for this; another 28 are to come + some extras (depends how I'm feeling).

You're not the one working on this kind of stuff, as far as i remember, but are missles/fighters ever going to be made useful for bases?

There used to be (and may still be) a sign in the EF trading post in Nexus that had a scrolling message, said something like buy microchips here. I was thinking an equipable item for bases, call it something like 'Shop sign'. Similar to trading bay, when equiped the sign appears above the shop. To edit what it says go into control on the base and on a tab underneath base description is a button that says Sign description. Put in your message there (mabye hav a limit to 50 characters) and then the message will appear. Useful for adverstizing particular items you want sold, especially in galaxies that are full of other shops.

Signs would be nice, and swear filter would solve most moderation problems. However, how to make sure people aren't breaking other chat rules such as advertising subs?

My suggestion for that would be to link these signs to the bulletin board. You'd have to keep putting money into it to keep it up, like a "space billboard," and the message could be read from any AI base for ease of moderation. Obviously, it would also be visible at the sign's location.

What it does: Can only be used in a ship, makes all (or 1) base item in your ship x10 smaller (i.e. adonis mag 4k space becomes 400 space). It can be transfered from ship to ship without effect but once its put in a base it becomes its original size again.

Use: Mainly for uni resets, or packing and moving bases.

I know I'm one for out there ideas but I thought this might be possible to do.

a ship with unlimited hull space whose speed is inversely proportional to the cargo size!

Quite easily possible with factories/item converters, but I think it'd be too easily broken.

i got a feeling it will never be put in but i like it, dont want to have 100 thatches and 5 SSs on 20 chars and never able to find that last ada cannon

make it undockable, there are ways that you still can get it at 70+speed even if it had max 0 speed.

Hmmm any base artillery? I'd love to see a weapon with really low rof ~10-20 secs (possibly not tweakable by augs), with decent DPH and uber splash effect.
