Post Instancing of high level content
The following areas will be instanced starting next universe.
*Zebra UZ, each arm is a seperate instance.
*Copper 8
*Snakepit (Anaconda)
*IQQas (Bana Queen)
*Mausoleum, each boss has its own instance.
*Red Photon Research Complex

What this will mean for you, as a player.
*You must now be in a squad to enter these areas, a 1 person squad works fine.

*No more waiting to do a boss, upon entering an instance all ai will be spawned and some areas leading up to a boss have been streamlined. As an example, there are now fast spawning wormhole guards in UZ that will not give xp or drop loot, but will drop keys allowing you to pass through the non-instanced areas with little wait in times of congestion.

*The mini-bosses in the Zebra UZ now have a 20 hour lockout, as now anyone can do them at any time. The ai in Lake Manyara and Mara River will now have a ten minute lockout, to prevent someone from leaving and re-entering to spawn the ai.

These changes will be available for testing over the next week. Please test them and post any unforeseen issues you have here.

Can we still camp MiniL, etc....

And What happens when we go to kill rhino, and then can't warp back out because of the lock-out?

its good that the stuff is finally gonna be instanced, but MOAR DETAILS PLOX.

IE. kickouts, boss lockout times (if they changed), stuff like that

Camping Minis will no longer be possible, because of the 20 hour lockout. The lockouts on the minis and the main bosses in UZ are for the entire instance, and will only prevent you from re-entering the instance. You will be able to just fly out after you kill the boss. This includes being able to fly out through CG after killing the Emperor, if you so choose, which was not previously possible.

Kick-outs and lockouts have not been changed, except for the previously mentioned cases.

If you make a squad, warp into an instance, warp back out again, leave the squad, and make a new squad and warp back into the instanced galaxy, will the augmenters on the boss be changed? ~.^

Because I had a hard time when I fought Undead Calypso when he had like 2 Exc Resist Augmenters :)

It doesn't work that way, lockouts are not based on squad, they become personal :P

So in theory, if you went to do Emp, and he spawned with 10x sup resist, and you were unable to kill him obviously, he would be the same spawn for the rest of the universe? Or do the AI despawn and respawn during lockout somehow?

May I just point out, if noobs(Not me, ofc :wink: ) go and attempt Prince and subsequently kill Knight, then fail Prince, they need to wait 20 HOURS for another go?
Gtfo.
1h lockout is enough imho, since the 3 minnies aren't worth camping, and that would use a serious amount of Keys to constantly camp MiniL, or you'd just waste 2 spawns.

the loot from the minis doesnt make them worth camping, you usually end up getting more from killing the spawn

a 1hr lockout should be enough to prevent people killing knight, leaving, making new squad, jumping back in and having a full spawn

then again the main boss lockouts are 20 hours too (since the lockouts are instance wide) so it shouldnt really be a problem, the cost of failure is higher, but you can kill the ubers more often if you are able

I agree with most of this but I don't like changes that make it unfair for newer players to the game. Older players had chances to camp mini lion and since it won't be possible, the newer people who come within recent times won't have equal opportunities. I don't think it's fair.

To be clear, are the lockouts on Princess/Prince being reduced to 20 hours from 5 days? If so, I don't really mind about the mini-ubers getting lockouts, but if not then I'd really prefer that the mini-uber lockout be reduced to an hour or two.

No, but killing the mini boss will give you a 20 hour lockout for that branch which the boss's lockout will override with 5-10 days as appropriate.
