Post New zone, Infernal Darkness
Well with Aurora being absent I decided to start my own project to get some content in (Yay for her being back!).
This place still has a lot of work to do, the galaxies are mostly done but I have a pile of AIs and items to create for it.

It's not a very big place but it should be pretty intense action. I came up with a nice little new feature that this place will make use of, it will actually be located exactly where Infernal Tempest is. How will that work? The basic idea is that if you fulfill a certain requirement the wormhole to Infernal Tempest will instead lead you to Infernal Darkness, this is possible thanks to instances and we will probably use this feature in other places too.

Infernal Darkness will be mostly for tech 21 but there will also be some tech 20 stuff in there.

Looking forward to this, especially if it contains some Recon Focus content. But will we be able to choose between going to Infernal Tempest and Infernal Darkness? I sometimes like to pop in on Scorch and the good doctor.

Yes of course you will always be able to go back to the normal Infernal Tempest.
We havent decided what exactly to use yet to trigger the actual change, the original idea was that you have to have a specific mission started. Jeff had a idea about making it a chat command, so you would start a squad and then type in a special chat command that would change the wormhole for your squad only. We'll see what we do.

Jeff's idea seems kind of like a hack and I don't think would look particularly good in-game. A key, equipping a certain item, or something else of that sort would probably work better aesthetically.

Wormholes are untractorable as per game mechanics.

I like the idea Vooms, good going. I agree with the key or item. I think a mission would be annoying because it'd have to be repeatable or you wouldn't be able to get back in, and you wouldn't be able to get to IT if it was active. Key or other type item is the way to go methinks.

you know, this might be a stupid question, but dont you have bugs/issues to fix before you go jumping into another project?

there are quite a few bugs which could use some attention (and endgame content only keeps older players playing, something also accomplished by fixing bugs, bugs which make said players want to cancel their subs)

the fuzz aggro bug in lyceum/aztec X for example, shoot someone in lyceum with a weapon that gives fires and you get a 10 minute timeout with the most horribly "OH GOD I WANT TO QUIT THIS GAME AND NEVER COME BACK" aura ever imagined after you jump back and get killed by the fuzz, unable to warp back due to said aura

im sure im not the only player here who doesnt have the attention span for that crap, and logs off soon after it happens, wondering why they even bother logging on in the first place

though t21 versions of the old infernal augs would mix things up abit in SS at the endgame...

tl;dr - new content is good, but an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure, prevent the endgame players from thinking of quitting by fixing any gameplay affecting bugs as soon as physically possible

DemonBlood, as much as you hang on the forum I actually expect you to know that I dont do bug fixing. Im not a programmer. Me doing content has no effect at all on bug fixing.

I see you dont know anything about Bana UZ, not all AIs would be vulnerable to heat.
