Multiple Servers to support one world but not kill everyone's computer when you load the game = Good. Basically, what Runescape and WoW did is bad, but what EVE and Infinity did is good. The former uses shards, the latter uses a single world with servers dedicated to separate areas, etc. Like, one server would support Wild Space, while a second would handle Perilous, and then the third holding Nexus, Earthforce, and the special areas like Olympus and Absolution. _________________ Axis Industries |

Re: Real C2 test uni I think eventually, jeff plans to make an entirely new universe, completely seperate from everyone elses old accounts.

Re: Real C2 test uni The current plan is that the Beta server for C2 will be only new accounts, then when C2 goes live, you'll be able to port old accounts to the new server. So when c2 beta hits everyone will be at the same level but then when it goes live the old accounts will be back in (these will still be playable in the mean time on c1).
