Sort it out once and for all, a nice cred sink, optional and rare, everything admins should want.

We should make Emp shield-less. I'm tired of this so called "barrier" that prevents me from getting to my loot. Remove it nao. I'll pretend to quit over this and bitch on the forums if you don't.
/endsarcasm

I absolutely love the knockback. It has opened up new avenues to prevent me from getting killed while blowing up Copper 7 and DG's.

All this content is sweet. So much Progress, in such little time. Why didn't Jeff_L find you earlier?

There are certain circumstances where people like the code, namely for epic boss fights, etc, but for everything else they're primarily a nuisance.

The suggestions within this thread will be made.

You can use them or leave; there have been multiple threads on this subject and we've taken all viewpoints into consideration. This is a server coded engine alteration - suggestions that a mission could disable it are lacking in knowledge of how things work.

All further input, unless it is along the lines of "Ok, let me test them on test before they go live so I can get a feel for them, and provide decent feedback" will be ignored.

I can spot a player wanting a solution by the simple fact I supply them with an invite to test (Hooch Dealer is a good example of this) and they accept, however dubious they are, and we sort things out. (Hooch ended up happy with the Ass Behe+ ;) )

The rest.. are trolls.

Feel free to use your remaining subscription time to troll, but don't expect any other direct responses, I've wasted enough dev. time on you.

If this is planned to be used, il just shut up right now and apologise for wasting your time, AEM.

Just out of curiousity, i'm going to go make a more detailed poll on the knockbacks.

AEM try this shit in the real world and you'll be looking for a new job faster than an atomic clock takes to count from 0.0000000000000000001 to 0.0000000000000000002!

What? One customer? McDonalds(example) stops selling S and B Smoothies and ONE person cries and bitches about it, and the manager of an establishment gets fired?

We've had three.

At this point in time, we have: SM21, Gunners, Mid-level zones (with skills) and a whole lot of other content to do. This isn't even touching on C2 stuff.

Concussions are here to stay: as I've stated already, I'm happy to produce some items to mitigate it for those who MC etc but that is it. Either contact me when I've made them for testing, or make that hard choice whether you want to give SS your money. We will not be blackmailed, nor we will be bullied nor will we be insulted that this change hasn't had a lot of thought, time and coding behind it.

If you dislike it, then the option is there for you to mitigate it; if you cannot farm on four accounts with it at one time, then you need to actually test the new items / code changes to see if it works for you; if your aim is simply to troll the forums, then we can safely ignore you.

/thread over.

i'd just like to point out that just because it has had a lot of coding and bugtesting time put into it, that it doesnt mean that the code is necessarily an improvement to gameplay.

Hey,

I frequently multiclient up to five characters for various things, I don't find the concussion effect to be a problem. All it takes is a few Alt-Tabs and right clicks to tell everyone to autopilot back to where they're meant to be.

Can even be useful in some cases.

I'm happy that the admins are including these capacitors, though, will possibly make MCing a little easier. Since I sometimes miss an alt, and have my Engineer floating off a few k distance before I realise.

Good job guys, again!

One point:
Quote:
Hush.

If you want to MC, then take a (very minor) hit.

Why does being a multiclienter justify taking hits relative to anyone else? We do pay more than people with single accounts, and it is harder for us to do things playing as 2+ characters.
Not particularly a complaint.. just wondering why the admins have a negative attitude to us trying to get the most out of the game.

Thanks - Loving all the admin-posts we're getting about everything nowadays. Hope we never go back to the times when there were weeks between admin's posting about changes.

Paladin,

The point is, you don't have to: it is a choice.

If you can MC happily without the items, you won't use them, and you'll use normal capacitors.

If you're having problems MCing with the knock-back, these items will help you, at the expense of a minor item (this isn't an OL, a shield, an aug - we chose the least invasive item that is easily interchangeable) .

I'm having a hard time understanding why a choice is a bad thing here...

Don't orget capacitors are equippable in the middle of a battle.

Yeah, but if we're MCing, there is little difference between hitting a hotkey to swap capacitor, and right clicking to AP to a point.

TBH there is a huge difference.

If you really want to be technical, one requires you to physically move an object on a two dimensional plane and the other requires you to depress a button.
