All the new movies came out on facebook first

Well, a lot of the ships and weapons haven't really been specified yet. I was going to rely on some alpha testers to fill in a lot of the data for us. For the weapons, some of the parameters that specify how they look are slightly different than the C1 parameters, so they all need to be tweaked a little bit. For the ships, I've only really taken the time to fill out the data on a few of them, though all the functionality is there, waiting to be pointed at in XML files.

With our new patcher that we have, I'm going to be pushing out "official" C2's every 2 weeks to match our programmer task iterations. I have 2 people already receiving these bi-weekly builds and working on the XML for us, and a 3rd who just needs to get set up. As they fill in the needed XML, I'll be able to show more actual content to you guys that looks correct and not screwy.

In the mean time, how about a video of multiple inventories?

change the FB page to use SS2 graphics, explain that SS1 is just a beta test for SS2, which will be doing FULL betatesting soon, and is open to players, if the FB page is more about the release of C2, than about SS, then alot more people are gonna take notice, it will look like an official release, rather than looking like a bunch of nerds willing to "like" a game through facebook

basically, the problem is, you need to make C2 in such a way, that when people see it for the first time they think "wow, this is pretty cool" instead of "2d graphics? EEEEEEEWWWWWWWW", which is pretty much solved by C2 anyway

1) link all videos of C2 development and gameplay from the FB page,
2) clearly state that C2 is a new game, being released soon, and players can play "SS classic" currently if they like, while they wait for C2

its hard for me to explain why C2 needs to be marketed as a "shiny new game" rather than an upgrade to a game that is already available, but a rational look at the current games market (for all games, not just MMOs) completely demonstrates my point, and changing the SS FB page is the first step
