The way drones work atm was really just a "Slap on" fix. Rather than having drone tech be synonymous with ship tech, add a few level locked missions for DD.

A much better fix would be to simply create a new ship with the same stats and a different name. Those ships are ment to be captured for the commodities and the radiation cone is meant to be used against them. the other 2 micron courses Bob's Ultimate Zebucart Dealership

Not to mention fixing all the ruin gear so that it's actually stronger than AI-bought stuff. I've also heard that the player-version reaver, or its laser in particular, was nerfed beyond usefulness. Give that a fix too?
