Did you bother to check if it was different in other countries, or did you check your US calender and think everyone must have the same system as you do. I added the bit about "what you believe in", because for some people it is affected by their religious belief.

I had never heard of a calendar starting with anything other than Sunday, except for the occasional specialized day planners and stuff that are set up for work weeks. So, all of Europe really starts their week on Monday?
