Post C2 GUI Development Notes
Client 2 GUI version 2.2


Right. So it was said that when there is something to show we will show it. And now there is.

So first off, everything that has "being worked on" mentioned means it's being worked on so don't whine about it much.
This is still just a render I have made, it's not coded yet.

Constructive criticism and suggestions are highly welcome.

Some notes that might now be obvious...

The galaxy map will be an overlay in the lower right.

Ship inventory, buddy list, character dialog, and team dialog will all appear in the bottom right over the galaxy overlay and be toggled by buttons down there.

Radar will probably default to the upper left, but you can move it wherever you want and resize it to be however big you want.

That looks amazing.

Couple questions though

How will the squad box's work if you have a full squad? will it just push the drone/slave boxs to the left or begin stacking downwards?

But yeah, whats the deal with the blue lion and will 2 images now need to be modified for custom ships or will the client automatically resize a single image for it? It appears that the one in the upper right is considerably smaller then the real thing.

The object in the target box in the upper right is a rendered 3d model using a view from a different camera in the galaxy you're in.

Looks very nice as the basis of a UI, hope you can clean it up a little and add something to sexify it. Maybe add a feature that allows you to choose the color of the UI aswell? But overall very nice job.

Also, maybe on option to pull a new assets in space box out from the original and fill it with whatever you would like, such as If I had some slaves on my other account and put both of them in the box I could click on them. Or just an option to make the assets in space box larger so that you can still select the least important things.

I very much love the framework though, it is a good change from the current unchangable framework. Customization seems to be the what makes UI's all that and a can 'o beans now adays :wink: So hats off to you fellas who been working on it.

Make it scrollable then, that scrolls left and right that have arrows on both sides...with it defaulting all the way to the left(Arrows being clickable), once again with most important/Dieing first. Like So:
