For those of you who do not appreciate hastily-written rhymes or Firefly references this is the official announcement of this years "Write a Letter to Astro-Santa" contest!

Post your own personal letter to Astro-Santa here before December 14th and you may be one of five winners to have their letter featured as an in-game item during the Astro-Santa event this year.

Entries will be judged based on creativity and holiday spirit. Also, please keep entries PC and 'clean'. I'm sure everyone knows what I mean.

EDIT:: A quick note. Poems are nice, but I'm looking for LETTERS to Astro-Santa Keep the submissions coming!

I do not want much this year... I just want the people in the Star Sonata community to get along.. There are many wars happening at this moment, people are dying, people are crying.. If you could do something about this, it would cheer up a lot of people.

I'd like you to give my friend goldstar-stations the gear he wants, he's always been nice to me, and it would seem really nice if he were to get something back in return..

Other than a functional version of Simon's picture above the only things I can think that I might like would be a t20 Capital Fighter bay with extra fighter slots, or a better energy regen boost on the captal engine.

Letter NR.1 from KC

Hello Dear santa, It's K C !
I bet last Christmas you didn't see me.
As a little thanks I will write this letter,
for all the joy, and my last years Sweater.

And hear a little fragment
of my lifetimes story,
it is full of Excitement,
but also a bit gory.
It was a astonishing moment,
my hair got hoary,
just trust my judgement,
but dont worry.


It was last Christmas night
you just came in sight.
KC was out n the roof,
something happened and you goofed.

I have to admit the night was gloomy,
probably why you didn't saw me.
You rushed only three inch,
above my head,
I had to pinch,
so i just grabbed.
I catched the runner.
What a bummer!

O i have to go to work,
but dont think i am lazy!
Ill be back tonight so dont go berserk,
Ill finish the story that is totally crazy!

Edit: I really gotta go to work, so id apreciate any comments on gramma or unappropriate use of words.. my dictonary is old ;D

Dear Santa,

I know there a lots of problems in the world,
If we could change it in one fell swoop,
Would I choose to make that move?

I'm afraid I wouldn't,
I'm sorry for my bluntness,
Perhaps my coldness,
My nonchalant behavior.

It's not your role nor mine to play the hand of God,
I'll be frank though,
My belief in such is but a facade.
If one day we could,
If it's possible, no.
If we would.

Perhaps my outlook on the future is optimistic,
Maybe there won't be any such technological singularity,
Maybe we will all die abruptly,
But you see,
What happens happens,
But stagnation is indecision.

If you can live in stagnation,
If you can accept such a quaint ideological belief,
Well, you're right,
As right as me or anyone else.

Enough about my philosophical prattle,
Santa, listen up.
I'll make this short,
For your sake.

I ask of you not no Christmas cheer,
I ask of you not no materialistic goods,
I ask of you not no spiritual soothing,
I ask of you not no acquiesce unto my demands.
Why?

For I have no demands,
I simply have nothing I wish for,
That you can provide.

I won't be settled by words,
I won't be settled by false hope,
I'll only be settled by physical results.

I'm afraid, Santa, that this is something you cannot give me,
That is something you as a concept cannot bring about.
It may seem I've veered off from optimism into pessimism,
But if you truly understood my viewpoint,
You'd see I have not.

Santa, what I want is not indecision,
Not stagnation,
I want action,
I want progress.

Tobuzzes letter to santa

Twas the night before C2, when all through the Uni,
Not a ship was stirring, not even a M3.
The stockings were hung by the Nexus with care,
In hopes that Astro-Santa soon would be there.

The players were nestled all snug in their bases,
While visions of Panthers danced in their faces.
Away to the warp gate I flew like a flash,
Reloaded the client, emptied my cache.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the speaker,
The thrusting and revving of fission thrust *sleeker.
As I drew in my scope, and was turning around,
Down from Iq'Bana, Santa came with a bound.

His vmag, it twinkled! his laughter how merry!
His hull filled with goodies, his ship sweet as cherry!
A tractorbeam of augs he had flung on his back,
He beckoned, and shouted, and emptied his sack!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like a large kinetic missile.
But I heard him exclaim as he flew out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-flight!"

Remember, remember the end of December,
With festive displays overwrought,
I see no reason
Why the holiday season,
Should ever be forgot.
Saint Nick, Saint Nick, t'was his intent
To visit each house and tenement.
Countless millions of gifts in tow
To give to children far below;
One christmas eve, though, he was catch'd
By astro-santa, and his tractor thatch.
And though he put up an epic fight,
astro-santa was to win the night.
He microwarped, OBAs he popped,
but still that tractor his progress stopped.
He ranted and raved, he screamed at the guy,
But "lol noob" was his only reply.
Then poor old santa opened fire,
with his fleet of reindeer, and elves he hired.
But astro-santa was a crafty old man,
He had built in the galaxy, and to the bases he ran.
Old saint nick lined up for the kill,
But then a volley of mags into his fleet did drill.
He tried to turn back, but it was already too late,
He stared at the bases, resigned to his fate.
But at that moment something warped into the gal,
It was a delquad, and it was mad as hell.
It saw all the bases and headed their way,
It flew in between all those mags and the sleigh.
Saint nick saw his chance, he popped some blockers and ran.
While astro-santa got pwnt, by a Delquadrakimdan.
Old saint nick lost two reindeer, and seven elves that day.
Because the price of stasis gens, he was unwilling to pay.
By this time the night was turning to day,
So he equipped a speed shield and rushed away.
But as he warped astro-santa screamed out from his pod,
"I'll get you someday, I'm the true christmas god!"



Sorry for any rhyming errors or general crappiness, the is the first poem I have ever really written. For those of you who don't know, the first few lines are based on The Gunpowder Plot.
