I rolled a new experimental uni on the test server (test2.starsonata.com port 3030) that has the following changes from this current uni:

Number of galaxies in EF layer, Wild Space, and Celestial Garden have been doubled.

Shape of EF space made into a spiral.

Shape of Wild Space made into "random" (like perilous).

DF jump in Wild Space changed from 5 to 10.

Building disallowed in EF space.

Max DF in EF space put at 300.

Max DF in Celestial increased.

The main idea is that we were talking about how nice it would be to have more galaxies in wild space, but it's just too hard to cram more gals into that spiral shape, and I think spiral shape is better for PvE, anyway. The random shape for Wild Space gives us so much more room. We could put 4x as many gals in there, easily, but I want to start a bit slower.

What do you guys think?

Do you think that Faction'd AI bases/colonies can be setup in EF space to make it less empty at some point?

It would be nice to see some Human and Pax colony ships rush from Sol/Pax to claim the planets. Maybe even some Urqa?

But I'm just rambling.

I like the idea as long as the shape to Wild Space has certain properties. There should not be long fingers of gals as there are in perilous space, but there should be minor bottlenecks like the ones that especially arise in the arms of current Wild Space. It should definitely not be as regular and symmetrical as EF Space currently is.

It will be awesome to have hunting grounds for Slumberchromes etc. with no possibility of protected gals.

Based on Jeff's comments, I'm going to go ahead and speculate that we may see the entire EF layer become PvP-free someday?

And all galaxies, like Biologique, emphatic field, XYZ, etc.. etc.. Are being placed in which of the two layers now? I'd strongly advocate for putting them in the EF layer, making the EF layer all about missions, PvE

Yeah, I would pull out any custom gals that are currently in Wild Space and put them in EF, and possibly pull out some of the ones in Perilous back to EF. Talking about putting FM, Ring, and Labyrinth into Celestial Garden layer, since people want to build in those galaxies.

So Wild space is still buildable yes? Needs to be more w2 for the noobier teams.

This is going to allow surrounding other teams to blockade, and make much more fighting lol

i came into the idea totaly against geting rid of the Arms in Wild space, but after seeing that picture i think its a great ida, exept mabye make W2 a tinsie bit bigger, so its more in line with the W3 gals?

Labyrinth is a pretty important galaxy for p2p. Would some p2p actually build in cele gardens besides the special(and important) custom gals?

If I make the minimum DF in Wild Space a little bit lower, that will increase the number of W2 gals.
