Post Flicker and Wattage - Graphics needed
I am making two new AIs for the next universe. The Flicker will be a smaller AI on the same theme as an Inferno, but lower level, wandering warp 0. The Wattage will be a higher level tougher AI on the same theme as voltage and ampage, probably around level 200-300.

What I need are graphics submissions. 2D images are fine, but bonus points for any animations you can make as well. Super extra special bonus points if it comes with a 3d model and texture that can be used in Client 2.

These AI will be uncapturable, but the players with the winning art submissions will get a player version of their ship. The winner will be decided by me, but community feed back will be taken into account.

The contest will end January 31, but the date might be flexible.

I do like that basic design for the Flicker, it could probably use a better paint job though - it currently looks like its just monotone with a splash of lighting, nothing against the color. I would envision a ball of fire in the open area, to form a sort of torch - this can be achieved with our existing particle effects system so I wouldn't be asking you to do that.

tweaked it a tiny bit and added a glow effect to see how it would work with the ship, and yea i agree voom i just need to work on a texture or something for the ship as a whole as it just looks too incomplete

What i would do is make one image without the glow thing ( the sun ish thing on the back ) and then make one with it. then have highlights on the glow one that get brightened, test it on a UrQa ship to see what it does.

Mostly because they either have items that we don't want players to capture easily, or because the ship itself would cause serious game balance problems.

This is 45 minuts of work, still needs alot of tweaking, but you can see baciks.. It mostly needs texturing now, 750 polies.
And yes, it is usable for c2.
