Hey Guys,

We had a meeting today but most of it was planning/design for c2 and other matters not related to the game directly. However, there is a few things that might interest you.

We've decided to make the engineer missions non-exclusive since otherwise the 2 non-BFD chains would never be used. Since the other 2 items are mostly for the support role of the DM, it won't boost their power by much but will make it so people that don't choose the BFD route don't lose the chance to have one of the best drones in the game.

Jey is going to finish up the "forcefield" drones and we'll try to get those in game soon. For ease of implementation these will actually be drones with a large radius but a small center graphic with a forcefield for the rest. You will be able to lay under these drones and lay these drones on top of others so that they're not too hard to use. This will allow shield monkeys or the engineers themselves to essentially heal one drone to protect all of them. If they're deemed to powerful we can reduce their resists or the amount of shields they have.

HAL is working hard on the BvB stuff and hopes to have it early this week. I'll keep you updated on the status of this code.

Also the force field drones should give some resistance bonus under their area of protection, as to also protect somewhat against 4d weapons. That'd be a nice addition. Although the aura is kind of laggy... if that could get simplified somehow.

Are aura drone drops/bps in or going to be added in anytime soon with the forcefields by any chance?

To my knowledge they are implemented but not available, although it is possible this situation may have changed since i last checked.

drones that release envelopments and stuff like that? Well this brings out a whole new path of what drone masters can do now. pretty cool.

Am I seriously the only person annoyed that every item of new content seems to be aimed at engineers? I know you dont have many content devs but you could at least try to spread the love.

Its because all of this content being added for Engineers was promised back when they reworked the class, but none of it was added; now they are adding it.

when was that again? like two years ago or something? maybe less ?

but gunner was introduced then as well and could use more love.
