Giant Space Aliens! Run Away!
I have changed the way the triggers work for the Giant Space Aliens in the first level of The Serengeti. The changes should hopefully prevent players from spawning GSA to grief other players, while still fulfilling their intended purpose - to prevent kiting AI. Please let me know if you notice any bugs or unusual behavior with these changes, if everything goes well I will edit the rest of the GSA spawns in Serengeti to use the same features.

Care to tell us how they work? or would you want us to find that out on our own.

Re: Giant Space Aliens! Run Away!
How they should work (assuming no bugs): If you go more than 5k away from the center of the galaxy, GSA should spawn next to you and attack you. They will continue to follow you, but they will only aggressively attack ships they either hate, or who have entered the trigger zone (anything more than 5k away from the center of the galaxy).
The center of the galaxy in this case is considered to be roughly the half way point between the Lyceum and Ngorongoro (or however you spell it) warps.

Re: Giant Space Aliens! Run Away!
Stupid question, but just to be sure: 5k range from the center of the galaxy will only be for the first level, right? In some gals, there is more than 10k between wormholes, after all.

Re: Giant Space Aliens! Run Away!
Obviously the distance from the center will depend on the area that players actually need to use in that galaxy. I just started with this one to get a feel for player feedback/etc., and if anything goes horribly wrong its just one galaxy.

I assume there is a plan to keep additional GSA inside the Ring of Fire as well, then?

Re: Giant Space Aliens! Run Away!
If this is put in for all other galaxies in Serengeti couldn't someone on the run purposely spawn GSA and not have anyone else shoot the GSA so they can easily kite?
