I remember a long time ago the admins all agreed that the capships looked ugly in 3d and decided to come up with new graphics for them. Any progress on that? Those would make a good screenie.

he cant Llessur, if he sold the game to Sicuro like he wanted, then C2 would be out much faster, and it would probably be better, since it was peoples only job.

however he didnt, and we rely on nice volunteers :)

It was mentioned if two ships sat in the same place, that one would sit above the other. So, what happens to Slavers? There are 3 Dread users with 9 BSTs each, plus 2 trade slaves.

im gonna be brutally honest, the C2 lion in the screenies looks crap

the colours dont work well with the lighting

some of the brownish/reddish pattern on the lion should be replaced with this colour(preferably the parts of the pattern at the front, where the bullets appear, but only on parts that are already brownish/red), but only 4-6 of them, to make the lion look more interesting without changing it fundamentally, and to follow the pattern of "hi, i have bright colours, im probably poisonous, dont fuck with me" that is so common in nature (snakes, frogs, spiders)... it would make the lion look alot more dangerous, and alot more awesome

and similar changes to all the UZ ships should be done... maybe purple for the rhino, blue for the panther, and something else for the zebra?


what you want to do with C2 style graphics is make it so when people see the stuff, people who dont even play, just look at the ship and think "dude, thats pretty fuckin cool", and the current lion graphic just doesnt do that

Not much to be reported. We're having a pretty hard time finding Irrlicht developers to work on C2 as BlindSide is busy with other things so our only remaining one (working full time on c2) is Armen. Hopefully soon Jeff will be able to join him (he's been working on Olympus). HAL/Jey are more server people so they don't really like programming client side stuff. Pip's busy with work :P
