What i would like to know if there will be new background textures intredused or it will stay the same as it is now ?

I'm sure there will be new, enhanced backgrounds intro'd... It wouldn't be too hard to make new ones, nor would it be hard to interchange them with the new client. Client 2 is supposed to make everything easier

He was talking about the stars. I guess they dont know that in c2 its produced procedurally and its not an image.

Why not make a procedurally generated universe using this plugin? The planets upon universe creation can use the plugin with numbers that are at random and so every planet is different from the next.

The only problem with that is that the planet textures wouldn't represent the climate of the planet.

Theres always a workaround. This is the age of computers, people can program just about anything If theres a will to create procedural generation here, there must be some way

Heh, if you actually play with the plugin, some planets it generates aren't usable, just because they have 100% atmospheres and are completely white. I'm sure there's a way to do it, but i don't know if it would be allowed use for a largescale project, ie an entire game's content.

That green tinged planet looks like it's been irradiated...which gives me the idea that perhaps some planets could have colour schemes related to their resource content. Such as the green one for nuclear waste, maybe a red tinged one for metal (Iron), I dunno...just a random thought.

Does this mean that we can have different star back grounds in different galaxys? Like EotU has an empty black sky because there are no stars further out. And some where like Sol has a more dense background.

If you ever read Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (which you should!!!!) you would know why EotU has no stars.
