Rules:

Screenshots should be 800x600, or else something that will look good when cropped to 800x600. I would probably prefer to get some that show the UI at this resolution and some that don't.

Multiple submissions encouraged, within reason. 10-20 good quality, different screens are welcome, but please not a whole bunch that look nearly identical.

The categories for screenshots are:

• Solo action shot (with or without slaves)
• Squad Action shot
• Exploration shot (just a cool looking screen with no combat)
• Team galaxy shot (show off your bases and trade slaves)
• Base action shot (BvB, PvB, or BvE)

Rewards:

There will be one winner in each of the above 5 categories. I will choose the best shot in each of the above categories. Each winner will get a special ship upgrade item to upgrade any ship of his/her choosing. The upgrade will give a ship some kind of modification to the name and a cosmetic change using textures and glowmaps. (e.g. "Spider Striker" is a variant of "Death Striker".) The name of the upgrade must be generic and not related to the persons name or team and is subject to my approval as appropriate.

Honorable mentions may also be given out which will receive an intelligence mod to the item of that persons choice.

This contest will run until December 9.

Can we make movies too? Thinking of doing some fun on my SD and capturing it in fraps.

I'd love to see movies up on YouTube. But that's not what this particular contest is about. =)

Also, in case it's not clear, please attach your screenshots to this thread as you get them. In the case of a tie for best in a category, I will go with the first one posted!

Are we allowed to modify screenshots in photoshop for example? Mainly to enrich colors etc.
