Levels, I would pay massive amounts of credits to be able to directly purchase levels on alts.

Being able to buy your way to CA 30 would be a nice way to make your money back.

Modification Scrambler.

An AI Station that takes credits and a modded item to potentially enhance said mod. More than likely it'd just destroy the mod, but sometimes it might be good.

The higher the tech, the greater chance of failure. Not much, but there is a difference, ever slight, for a T20 item vs a T2 item.

Affects all mods at once, if item has more than one mod.

Not for the feint of credits.

For example, say you have a Buffered MD. You have about 50b you want to spend on it. Potentially, the end result could be [+12.5% Damage, +10% Recoil]. Most likely it'd end up as a normal unmodded MD. Thats your risk; will you take it?

Base slots. You know how every char after your main has a chunk of its base slots removed? Let us buy those back.

COW droppings

IIRC they were reduced only because the abacus that JeffL was using as a server couldn't handle the load.

Which, hilariously, is the same reason we have 25 ship slots. And now we have sunk so far as to beg to buy more with credits.

Except more base slots directly correlates to more money entering the system, IE a bad idea.

Exactly. More base slots means more territory, which means more money. It seems obvious to me that these cash sinks should be a matter of convenience, not investment.

Post Re: Question: What would you pay massive amounts of credits for?
What about instead of buying levels, there was a way to open "custom" DGs for quick levels?

So you buy an item that opens up a DG that has AI that are dynamically leveled according to your level. The length of the DG is random, but the difficulty is based on your current level, and all of the AI would have positive XP multipliers, maybe upwards of 2x-5x.

Levels wouldn't respawn, and killing the boss closes the DG. Boss loot could be some sort of XP token, or the boss could have like a 10x XP multiplier or something.

A tiered custom DG system, Tier 1/3 would be maybe 5/10/20 bil per. Or it could be based on your current level as well for diminishing returns.

I wouldn't mind having locked DGs with keys that you pay for, but that still isn't a proper credit sink if you're getting mega levels out of it.

I've suggested it in other places, but what about a daily or weekly lottery. Everyone puts in money to buy tickets and the winner gets creds but only a small portion of what the total payment for everyones tickets was. That's a nice pure credit sink. :P

The lottery idea would be way better if instead of creds, you won high end modded items the quality of which is directly proportional to the amount of payers.

Honestly, I think paying for a random mod would be a really good idea. That way people would buy multiple versions of weapons, trying to get the best mod setup. RNG at its very finest.
