The Ampage is a tech 4 ship. The Voltage is a tech 9 ship.

Hence i have made the Flicker a tech 14 ship and the Wattage a tech 19 ship.

Do we really want such good graphics wasted on lower tech ships that will probably be shot at/used/wowed at for approximately 22.7483 seconds ?

As I have more time available to spend on this project I think it would be good to use that time to go 'that extra step'.

So far I have made the Wattage a player buildable ship. I am still deciding about the Flicker. There will also be new wattage/flicker based content coming in for you to delight over.

Winners of the competition please forum pm me. For your prizes i will design a unique varient of these ships which will have slightly improved stats and slightly different coloured graphics. Enough to make peeps jealous :wink:

So in short. No the Flicker wont be weaker than the inferno. Why would it need to be? The game has advanced alot since this competition started (January?) and i feel the content would be wasted if I didnt follow with the times.

How do players feel about this ?

Well, the whole POINT of this contest was to fill the gap in low-leveled AI to kill. I don't really see why it was changed, leveling is far tougher at level 20-500 than 500-1000.

You sure? If I was p2p and had some decent swarms I could get level 20-100 pretty quickly.

Well if the flicker is better then the Inferno you might aswell swap the ships around, call the inferno a flicker and the flicker an Inferno because the names don't match :?

ORB also to contnue with the escalating tech the wattage should be tech 15.

(9-5=4-4=0) That being said - (0+4=4+5=9+6=15) then after that the next ship in the chain would be tech 21 then tech 29 and so on. Just speaking technically. :mrgreen:
