Been 1 day so far running an A/B test and so far it's yielding 68% more downloads per visitor than the old one, which is huge. Still need a few more days worth of data, but if that holds, it should bring in about 30-40 more new p2p per month with the same advertising budget.

Of course, that assumes that the people who will download the game after seeing the new landing page but wouldn't after seeing the old one are just as likely to go p2p as the people who would click on the old one. Could be that the +68% conversion rate isn't actually as good as it sounds, but we will see. =)

Yeah, new landing page looks excellent, great job. No complaints or recommendations from me.

The new page is a big improvement, but I feel that "why walk when you can fly" is a bit lame. It doesn't really pertain to the game, either. I'd suggest the following change to that and the bit of text beneath it:

I'm going to try out different main slogans, but I do like the "Why walk when you can fly" because I think a huge positive aspect of Star Sonata is the controls, and flying around in your ship is so much more fun than walking around with a guy in other MMORPG's. It's also an analogy for Star Sonata being more exciting than the other games.

Ah, I hadn't thought about comparison to land-based MMO's. While that's valid, most people who come to the site will already be expecting a space-based game, so I don't think they need convincing on that point. At any rate, I do think the wording of the subtext is a bit clunky as well.
