I'm sure there couldn't possibly be a logical explanation why the Saturn 1 rocket, which was launched from Earth to space, would have fins on it. And if there was one, it would surely apply to space-space launches as well, right?

Or why the part with fins is forcibly removed from the ship before it reached orbit?

Guys....we've had debates about fins for two days running. Will you give up already?
Anything moving in space does not need aero-dynamic features because there is no air to move in. Therefore, we do not need fins on anything.
Ok? I'm glad we got that sorted...

Yep, in space there isn't really a need for fins. The Apollo rockets had fins because they had to of course fly through the Earth's atmosphere to reach the vacuum of space.
However, SS isn't a sim and we are as always looking for most aesthetically pleasing (read: cool looking) artwork to add to the game.
We might have more than one winner and in-game reward btw. I appreciate the effort so many here have put into this new feature.

Earth-Force Missile #1
Earth-Force Missile #2 Added front wings, and small bulge in side (For more explosives of course )
Earth-Force Missile #1 in action.
Earth-Force Missile #2 in action.
The "Other" Missile in action. Kind of crude, but i like it.
