Of course, the opposite happens for a member of our realm entering their world; their power escalates, which was indicated by the light that rose at an exponential level.

Essentially, the girl didn't die; she just got BIGGER. A LOT bigger. She's actually the final shot of the film. Because YOU don't see it until SHE does...because it didn't EXIST until then.

actually i looked up the meaning to this video. as u can tell in the beginning the black haired chick is very insecure and unsure about A. breaking into a pool cause shes socially awkward and B. her sexuality and the sexuality of those around her. basically what happens is when she jumps in the pool she spots the other couple making out and then her own undiscovered urges rush out (hence that weird thingy growing in her pants.) when she gets herself out of the pool she sees the couple as demon/zombies which represent people that have given into there urges. the reason the third dude becomes "infected" is because she realized he didnt care about her at all and just wanted sex. the movie ends with her looking at one of the great ones (cthulu maybe?) and her head exploding (bcause in mythology if one looks upon a great one they cant handle it so they explode.) This ending represents her escaping the pool into the "real world" where she realizes everyone has given into urges and is driven by sex. the head blowing up is a symbol of her not being able to accept the fact that society is obsessed with sex.
