I have kinda quit this game after SS 2 beta was released and i have been thinking of playing this game again.

so how does this game look like now, is it great,does it sucks, rather have ss1 back, teams, people etc

I tried to start a new account and was quickly discouraged at the leveling system. Other then that I quite enjoyed the graphics and play style tweaks/additions.

Its awesome. The one thing I think SS1 is superior in is bases, sides the trade bays. Everything else is a vast, vast improvement.

For the most part its large step forward for the game, which has become more clear with each patch as the bugs and kinks are worked out. The many new features that are available in the UI and other areas make up for the things you will miss... or they did for me at least.

You make it sound like its a chore. I wouldn't be playing again if this was C1.

The ship and weapon graphics are the only things that are not as great.

I mean, I have a computer that can run Crysis 2 on close to max quality. To play a game with 2k poly ships.

I quit about the same time as you then and i will say the past week i've been playing some low level content on a level 25 account and i was happy with what I was seeing.

I'll be building a new computer soon and when that is done i plan to start to play again on my real account.

Do you play the other Total War titles? I dropped a whopping five bucks on Medieval TW 2 on Steam a few weeks ago, though I haven't had time to play it. I was happy to see that my laptop handled it just fine on ultra graphics though. I played Medieval 1 fairly extensively too.
